Self esteem that magically appears

Permalink Closed

I always say that I have the self esteem of a flea, but challenge me and POOF there it is!  I can speak in public with no issues, all the while my inner voice is berating me.  I have been an advocate for rape and domestic volence victims and confronted their abuser in and out of court, verbally, of course, with no problem.  But when I look in the mirror I have nothing nice to say to myself.no

Does anyone else have this problem?  Am I just going to have to work through this thing and figure it out?confuse

My husband and my co-workers say nice things about me all the time, and I thank them for the compliments, but inside, I just don't get it.  But when I help someone, I feel a sense of accomplishment and that fire of doing good and purpose, which is why I am taking this course.

Yep - I'm a great big bundle of SO many things!  LOL!!

Have a lovely day or night - which ever it is where you are - I look forward to your responses on this topic.

Hey Mary.

I to used to have very low self esteem and had to do alot of mirror work and I have gone within to learn to love myself. Women always love to be told they are beautiful and seek to be told they are loved! One day Mary you will find a peace within in you, you won't care what anyone else thinks and you will be free. A great book that I can reccommend to you is 'Your power of your subconcious mind' by Dr Joseph Murphy.

Hey Mary,

Nope, you are NOT alone by far! Everyone has a self-esteem and if it is not exercised or part of our daily thoughts = it suffers. Our self-esteem is like a muscle. If you do not work out on a regular basis it become saggy, weaker, and flabby. So will our self-esteem and it won't have the ability to sustain our life's curves.

I wrote both of my workbooks that do this very thing by working on your self-esteem from different angles of life. I would start with Pocket of Pearls. It works directly with your inner voice and this is the voice of your self-esteem.

I would say you are in a great place to work on it with your awareness you have written. In addition, the Self-Discovery Academy courses work on self, while training you to help others. All from the inside out!

Check it out and keep learning. I love to see your enthusiasm and keep posting here on this message board for your personal growth.

We are always here for you!

Merna
