How do I know@?

Permalink Closed
I just worked through an isue that I have with unfairness.  I journeled all my feelings, and used affirmations like: I choose to let go etc etc.
My question: how do I know I realy let go and locked the door forever, or just put it back in the backpack?
Is there any test  I can do with myself?  I would love to know what others think of this.

That is a great question and a common one. We need to see our feelings about anything as something with percentages. Not - done or not done. Working on an issue will let the air out of the tire a bit more, but the tire will never disappear. That is part of being human. Our goal is to have a deflated tire - so to speak.

We will never forget, but we can release most of the hurt, frustration, or anger towards an issue. I wish it was as easy as checking it off a list, but being human is more "fluid" when it comes to our emotions.

Embrace them, as they are a part of us. They give us more than we realize, so look for one thing that makes it positive.

Feel free to journal here if you wish! Hang in there Jacqui you are doing GREAT working through some tough stuff. It is well worth it!

I believe you will know you have done enough journaling when you don't fear this is going to re occur.  When your focus shifts from this issue you have done enough for now.  Life is about experieces don't beat yourself up if it comes back up in the future. Work on it again and again if need be.

Thanks for your respons. I guess that much, just: ok, just realized another door is not closed yet: comparing myself to what is right or wrong, In short: what will others think of this. Got it: I must work through trusting my judgement without trying to compare it to what others may or may not think - Wow, it is just so amazing how the doors open as you deal with one isue then others open. It is scary, yet exited as I know this is part of the healing process. Pealing the onion. If you remove one layer a next pops up. So self judgement here I come - journal here I come. I am in week two and my journal is loaded. Thanks goodness for enough journals to purchase and to fill! This is realy awesome. Hurtfull yes, then also relieve when breaking through.
