STICKY: Having a blast dating!

January 20, 2009
Hello!

Does this title sound unrealistic? Well it is not. After all, dating should be fun, not a chore. This is how we find that perfect puzzle peice for our life. Imagine marrying one of the first people you ever dated. This might be scary for some! As we grow and mature we define what we really want in a partner. This is a GOOD thing.

Tell us your story!

Listen up Ladies, as your excuses have run out.

There are no longer any excuses not to care for ourselves as women.

Trust me on this, so get a piece of paper and a pen. With this small shopping list you will  making a quick trip to your local Dollar store or some people have a .99 Store. I use this as an example because if you live in the boonies you can still  find a store with great values.

Items on your list:

1. Incense - You will find these in the air freshener section. Look toward the top shelf. If you don't have a burner a small container with sand will work just fine. $1

2. Go to the soap section and find Vaseline Intensive Care bath beads. They usually have two scents. My fav is Gentle Breeze. No it isn't in a fancy jar, but you will never choose another brand again! $2

3. Go to the baby section and choose the lavender topped lotion. The store brand one. $1 [Some places maybe $1.50]

Now choose a time to take a hot bath and relaaaax! Trust me here...

And its all only $5!

Shamelessly Addicted

I will be the first to admit, I am shamelessly addicted to the ABC series "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette."  This season its The Bachelor, and Jason is the lucky man.  After he had his heart broken last season on the Bachelorette when Deanna chose Jesse instead he picked himself up and obviously is trying things again.  This time he's in charge.

For those that do not watch the show it begins when the bachelor is introduced to 25 women (of course all looking perfect for TV; we have the models, the pro sports cheerleaders...the list could go on.  Also these people have to be free for 6 weeks I think it is to tape the show, so they all must be loaded with cash).  He spends a few hours with the 25 women getting to know them.  At the end of the evening there is a rose ceremony where he hands out 15 roses.  Those 15 women continue on dating him, and the other 10 are sent home.  So then the show continues and the week consists of dates, some one on one, some group dates.  More roses are handed out and at the next rose ceremony if you don't have a rose you go home.  This continues for a few weeks, gradually weeding the women out.  This is TV, so the dates are extravagent and over the top.  The women live together so there is always a cat fight or two.  And of course, a show is never complete without lots of crying by the women.  In the end its down to two people and he chooses one to marry and the other goes home.  A bit brutal for the last person like that.

My question is, do you suppose this could be a fun way to date?  Or is it just a scripted TV show, posing as reality.

I will continue to watch the show and dream that I am one of the women on the show.  But I do question how real it could be.
